Bryan Danielson has claimed that he will need to undergo surgery soon after the injury he suffered wrestling Will Ospreay at Dynasty.
Speaking to the AEW social media team for a digital exclusive, Danielson said he landed straight on his head when he hit the Frankensteiner off the top rope on Ospreay.
“I go straight down on my head and then later in the match, right before he pins me, he hits me with a storm driver,” Danielson said. “I got shooting pains down my arm. I’m at home and I have to go get MRIs.”
Those MRIs, he said, revealed that he has a compression of the nerve root at C6, C7, and C7-T1. The shooting pains in his arms won’t go away and doctors recommended that he undergoes surgery.
“The only way I can hold out, the only way that I can hold out is if I can keep the strength in my right hand. Right now it’s still there. I have the shooting pain, but I’ve still got the strength,” he continued.
Danielson is part of Team AEW in the Anarchy in the Arena match for Double or Nothing.
