Ric Flair issues apology to Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, and Jim Herd

Just two days after he blamed Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, and Jim Herd for everything that went wrong with WCW, the Nature Boy Ric Flair issued an apology on X and retracted his comments.

Flair wrote that a very important person in his life reminded him yesterday that X is the weakest form of communication and wanted to apologize to Jim Herd, Eric Bischoff, and Vince Russo for unfairly judging them without knowing the inner workings and behind-the-scenes of the business on the corporate-end.

“I wish on a personal note that all 3 of us could have worked together and had better relationships,” Flair wrote.

Flair thanked Russo for calling him “the GOAT” and said he appreciated that and what he did to help his son pursue his dream in wrestling.

“I am going to do Eric Bischoff’s podcast, but it won’t be to bury anybody,” Flair added. “It’s to discuss our differences!”

Bischoff addressed Flair’s original criticism, which he labeled the three of them as the “three-headed monster,” during an episode of his podcast. Bischoff said that while Ric feels strongly about his opinions, it doesn’t mean he’s right.

“It’s just his opinion. It would be like me saying well, wait…I’ve produced over 5000 hours of prime-time television, I should be able to wrestle a 20-minute match, I should be able to critique Ric Flair’s matches,” Bischoff said.
