Nic Nemeth, the current TNA World champion, lost the AAA Mega Heavyweight title last night at Triplemania XXXII in Mexico City.
Nemeth was defeated by a familiar face – Alberto El Patron, the man who Nemeth defeated as Dolph Ziggler when he cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase the night after WrestleMania in 2013.
The finish came when El Patron threw a glass full of water in Nemeth’s face and then low-blowed him, covering him for the pinfall victory.
Nemeth entered the ring accompanied by WWE Hall of Famer John “Bradshaw” Layfield, who sat at ringside watching the main event. An angle following the show also saw JBL coming in to shake hands with the new champion.
