Taz to undergo knee replacement surgery

It’s going to be a few months before you hear Taz on AEW commentary again as the former ECW champion is undergoing knee replacement surgery.

Taz was “attacked” by someone in the parking lot before Dynamite this week and was not on commentary duties, with Nigel McGuinness replacing him in the three-man booth with Tony Schiavone and Excalibur.

On X, the man also known as the Human Suplex Machine wrote, “Unfortunately, I will be out for a while. I’ll be having total knee replacement surgery very soon. Talk to you guys down the road.”

Taz has been doing Dynamite commentary full time since June 2022, replacing Jim Ross.
