Bryan Danielson loses AEW World title as Moxley becomes four-time champ

Bryan Danielson’s full-time in-ring career came to an end last night after he lost the AEW World title to Jon Moxley.

Danielson got locked in a rear naked choke and passed out, with the referee ending the match, even though Danielson moved after the match, suggesting that he was not completely out.

The post-match actions turned even more violent with Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and PAC ready to inflict more damage. But Wheeler Yuta and Darby Allin ran out to make the save…until Yuta turned on Allin. Allin was secured to the ropes with tape and forced to watch Danielson getting battered.

Yuta choked out Danielson with a plastic bag and several AEW stars came out to help but they received an ass-whopping instead. The new champion then wrapped a chair around Danielson’s neck and Castagnoli delivered a final blow by stomping it before they left.

Some more AEW stars eventually came out after it was too late along with doctors. Doctors loaded up Danielson on a stretcher with the crowd fading into silence as the show went to black.

Danielson won the AEW World title at All In in London, England, this past August.
