Batista returns tonight on RAW

It’s been nearly 4 years since Batista has appeared on WWE television. But tonight, “The Animal” is back on Monday Night RAW for his return.

It was May 24, 2010, when Batista decided to quit WWE, the day after the Over The Limit pay-per-view where he lost a WWE title match against John Cena in an I Quit match. The next night on RAW, Batista came out in a wheelchair and the then-General Manager Bret Hart ordered him to face Randy Orton to qualify for a spot in the Fatal 4-Way WWE Championship match. Batista refused, and that was the last time he was seen on WWE television.

His return to WWE was announced on the December 23 episode of Monday Night RAW. The former WWE and World Heavyweight champion is also participating in the Royal Rumble match this coming Sunday.
