Ricky Starks appeared in front of a stunned crowd at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey last night for a show promoted by Game Changer Wrestling.
The AEW man interrupted an in-ring promo by Jimmy Lloyd, with Lloyd wondering if Starks should be in catering at the Prudential Center for Full Gear instead of here.
After Starks laid out Lloyd, he said that passion runs through his blood and he’ll be damned if he sits at home and gets frozen out.
“I’ll be damned if I sit at home and let my career dwindle. I am 34 years old. I’m healthy. I am goddamn good looking, and most importantly, I am a generational superstar,” Starks told the audience.
Starks, who remains under AEW contract, has not appeared for the company since March, with his promo being full of digs at his current employer.
“I’m going to come back to where I came from in the very beginning,” Starks continued. “And why not start in one of the hottest promotions right now, GCW?”
Starks will make an appearance for House of Glory in January of next year.
