Apple TV adds the WWE Network channel

The WWE Network arrived on the Apple TV as its own channel much to the relief of owners of the device after WWE kept refusing to mention that it would be on the box.

The Apple TV was never mentioned anywhere although during the launch event it was hinted that the WWE Network would be on a device that they couldn’t mention at the time and WWE left Apple TVs as gifts to the press who attended the event. An answer to a question left on the WWE Network Facebook page mentioning the Apple TV was deleted by WWE the same day.

An update to the Apple TV software is required before the WWE Network channel shows up on the launch screen. Users of Apple TV and iTunes can pay for the subscription through their iTunes account however iTunes will charge for $59.99 for a six month subscription rather than $9.99 a month.
