Wrestling stars attend the Queen of the Ring movie premiere in New York

Several wrestling stars from both WWE and AEW attended the Queen of the Ring New York movie premiere held at AMC Lincoln Square 13 yesterday.

Those in attendance included Sonya Deville, Madusa, Paul Wight, Athena, Julia Hart, Deonna Purrazzo, Lita, Trish Stratus, Queen Aminata, Prince Nana, Sky Blue, Kamille, Jazz, Naomi, Jimmy Uso, and others. Naomi wore a custom neck brace to sell the attack by Jade Cargill from last Saturday.

Queen of the Ring chronicles the life of female wrestler Mildred Burke, who died in February 1989 at the age of 73. She was the inaugural NWA Women’s champion in 1950.

Emily Bett Rickards plays Burke in the movie and Kamille, Toni Storm, Naomi, Britt Baker, and Jim Cornette all have roles.

It will open in theaters nationwide on Friday, March 7.
