The popular Continental Classic round robin tournament will kick off in two weeks on Dynamite live from Chicago, with the conclusion of the month-plus-long tournament coming at the Worlds End pay-per-view later in December.
The tournament was a big hit last year, even in terms of viewership, and ultimately had Eddie Kingston win the inaugural Continental Crown, a short-lived triple crown involving the AEW Continental title, the ROH World title, and the NJPW Strong title. The titles have since been split up again following Kingston’s individual losses for each title.
This year’s Continental Classic is expected to follow last year’s format, with a total of 12 stars split in two groups. Each wrestler will wrestle five times and will get three points for a pin and one for a draw.
The winners of each group will then face each other to win the tournament.
