Adam Copeland says everyone at WWE is happy for him

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Adam Copeland said that everyone in WWE is happy for him and none of them are mad for moving to AEW.

“I am so thankful for every aspect of my career, and I’ll be forever thankful for the WWE,” said Copeland. “It was the only place I wanted to work. We reached a place where we’d done all we could do together. And I guarantee you this – they’re not mad. I’m not mad.”

Copeland noted that he received texts from the office, from the travel department, from the talent relations department, from the music department, from the performers, from the big suits, and none of them were mad and everyone was happy for him.

“They’re going to continue to crush it, too. And I have more of an opportunity to help the entire wrestling business in AEW,” he continued.

Copeland listed the likes of Bryan Danielson, Miro, Claudio Castagnoli, Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Adam Page, Chris Jericho, Malakai Black, FTR, The Young Bucks, Darby Allin, Sting, and Eddie Kingston as people who he would love to work with and eventually even wants to wrestle at Wrestle Kingdom at the Tokyo Dome.

He said that AEW President Tony Khan reached out to him once he became a free agent and expressed interest in working with him and offered him a lucrative offer to make the jump.
