Bryan Danielson’s AEW contract up on August 1

In an interview with Renee Paquette, Bryan Danielson revealed that his AEW contract is up next week on August 1, weeks before he is set to take on Swerve Strickland for the AEW World title at All In.

Danielson said that when he came to AEW in 2021, he decided along with his wife that this would be his last wrestling contract that he was going to sign.

“Part of me is wondering what life is like after this, you know? Part of me is excited about that,” Danielson told Paquette. “But even though Wembley is after this, I still have to focus on that.”

Danielson called this “a wild time” and while he is expected to still remain part of AEW in some way, shape, or form, his in-ring career will be greatly reduced.

In a recent interview, Tony Khan said that he hoped Danielson stayed with AEW for a long time even after he stops his wrestling career.
