Canceled Double or Nothing match to finally happen on AEW Dynamite debut episode

A match that was supposed to happen at AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view will now take place on the debut episode of AEW Dynamite next week as Adam Page takes on PAC.

Their original encounter was scrapped just a week before the AEW inaugural pay-per-view after what seemed to be over creative differences. The two eventually set up an angle during an indie show in the UK the weekend before the show where PAC issued an open challenge and Page came out to answer it. The two wrestled a match which eventually finished with a DQ because PAC hit the low blow on the ref. The former WWE Cruiserweight champion then attacked Page with a chair and smashed his leg. Afterward, PAC announced that he would not be traveling to Las Vegas to be part of AEW’s Double or Nothing because his objective to injure Hangman had already been successful.

PAC ended up on AEW’s second pay-per-view when he came in to replace the injured Jon Moxley to take on Kenny Omega. Omega vs PAC was also a program that AEW was planning to have later in the year but ended up pulling the trigger with no build-up as a high-profile star was needed to take Moxley’s place.

This is the fifth match announced for the debut TNT episode which will also include the crowning of the new AEW Women’s champion.
