CM Punk returns to do commentary for Cage Fury Fighting Championships

Former AEW World champion CM Punk resurfaced on television yesterday when he went back behind the commentary table for Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

Punk joined CFFC commentator John Morgan for the event which was broadcast on the UFC Fight Pass streaming service. He had been doing commentary for CFFC since late 2018 but his work didn’t continue when he signed on for AEW last year.

Punk is currently out injured after he tore his triceps at the All Out match and was then suspended and stripped off his AEW title following the explosive post-show press conference.

AEW is in negotiations with CM Punk to buy out the remainder of his contract which would spell the end of his time in the promotion.
