Exploding barbed wire deathmatch main event set for Revolution 2021

The main event of the Revolution pay-per-view will have blood and guts…as AEW announced that AEW champion Kenny Omega will take on Jon Moxley in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch.

Omega granted Moxley his rematch at the end of last night’s Dynamite following a brutal beatdown by The Good Brothers and himself. Moxley had just teamed up with Fenix and Archer to defeat Kingston, The Butcher and The Blade in a six-man tag match.

After Omega issued the challenge, Moxley accepted the only way he knows – headbutting Omega. That did not sit down well with the champ who delivered two V-Triggers in return.

This will be their third one-on-one match in AEW, having already main evented Full Gear 2019 and the Winter Is Coming Dynamite in December 2020. The record is a win for each.

In other Revolution news, a new match was also announced featuring Matt Hardy vs Hangman Page. The stipulation is that if Hangman wins, he gets 100% of Hardy’s money in Q1 2021 and if Hardy wins, he gets all of Hangman’s money of the same quarter.
