Jack Perry says he asked for and was denied AEW release

Bryan Alvarez from F4WOnline.com is reporting that Jack Perry asked for his AEW release but his request was denied in the fallout from All In.

A Dave Meltzer report said that Perry asked for “forgiveness” and “continually apologized” for what happened after the All In fight with CM Punk but now, Perry is denying Meltzer’s report.

Perry told Alvarez that he did not hear from Tony Khan for two months after the incident at All In and Perry never apologized and told AEW’s lawyers that he will not be the one reaching out first.

The AEW President then set up a meeting in Los Angeles at Full Gear to discuss how Perry would be brought back in the fold but those plans were scrapped after CM Punk returned to WWE. Why plans in one company were affected by a return of another star in a different company was not explained.

Perry said that AEW still has no plans to bring him back at the moment and he has not talked to Tony Khan since November.

The former Jungle Boy is currently working in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
