Jeff Hardy waives rights to appear at arraignment and pre-trial stages

AEW star Jeff Hardy will not be attending the arraignment on July 5 and also waved the right to be present at all pre-trial stages according to the not guilty plea note filed with court. The story was originally reported by PWInsider.com.

Hardy entered his plea on June 28 and despite blowing over three times the legal limit, pled not guilty to the three charges brought against him: one count of driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol, driving with a canceled/suspended/revoked license, and violating restrictions placed on a driver’s license.

Hardy was arrested by highway patrol on June 13 after several 911 calls were made due to his erratic driving. He failed the field sobriety test and was taken to jail by the three officers who each pulled a gun on him as he refused to exit his vehicle.

AEW suspended Hardy without pay the next day and ordered him to enter rehab. When he quit WWE, Hardy refused to go to rehab saying he would not be leaving his family behind for a month just to save his job. He did just that however and is said to be doing better.
