Kenny Omega reveals rules for the exploding barbed wire death match

AEW will have an exploding barbed wire death match tomorrow night at Revolution and one of the participants of that match, Kenny Omega, has finally revealed the rules of the match along with a graphic of what the match will look like.

Omega wrote that the rules consist of three of the four sides of the ring ropes wrapped in barbed wire and every time there’s contact with the barbed wire, it triggers explosives on the corresponding side. Three sides of the ring, labeled as Triple Hell, will have exploding platforms with barbed wire on them. There will also be a 30-minute countdown timer until all explosives in and around the ring will detonate.

When a Twitter user asked Omega why his graphic has all four sides of the ring labeled as barbed wire and the rules state three, Omega replied saying that they’re making him keep one side clear in case of an emergency. Another user took a dig and replied with “Sports based wrestling,” something that AEW used in the past to describe their product. Omega didn’t take long to answer back. “Don’t you forget it, bitch,” he wrote with a winking emoji.
