MJF still in Las Vegas after plane ticket with his name was purchased yesterday

Both PWInsider.com and Fightful Wrestling reported last night that a plane ticket bearing the name of MJF was purchased – a red-eye flight from Las Vegas to Newark, New Jersey.

While the plane did leave the Vegas airport on time, MJF was not on it and he remains in Las Vegas. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful said he saw physical evidence of the ticket but it was not clear who purchased it.

The news of the ticket came after AEW officials unsuccessfully tried to contact MJF following his no-show at the AEW Fan Fest at Mandalay Bay. Eyewitness reports put MJF at the hotel when the Fan Fest was going on.

At this point, MJF’s participation at Double or Nothing remains a mystery. AEW plugged the match on social media over the last few hours with a previously-scheduled post and then deleted that tweet although the video for the match remains on the AEW YouTube channel.

The stipulation in the match tonight is that if Wardlow wins against MJF, he will be free from any obligations to MJF while if MJF wins, then Wardlow cannot sign with AEW.
