Paul Wight to have first AEW match at All Out 2021

Months after making his AEW debut, Paul Wight will be lacing up his wrestling boots again and will be making his in-ring debut for the promotion at the upcoming All Out pay-per-view on September 5.

Wight, who last week interfered to save Tony Schiavone and his son from an attack by The Factory, is set to take on QT Marshall on the show. The match was announced last night after QT interrupted an in-ring segment between Wight and Schiavone, revealing several x-rays of Wight’s hip. Despite QT’s attempt to paint Wight as a broken-down former wrestler, Wight said that Tony Khan signed off on the match.

It’s been a while since Wight has wrestled, in fact the last time came on an episode of Monday Night Raw in July of last year in an unsanctioned match against Randy Orton. Before that, he was involved in a six-man tag match teaming up with The Viking Raiders against Orton, Andrade, and Angel Garza.
