Report: Jade Cargill leaving AEW and moving to WWE

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting through his Select service that Jade Cargill is believed to be wrapping up her AEW duties and is on her way to WWE.

Cargill, who returned to AEW last week after over three months out, will get her TBS Championship rematch tomorrow on Rampage, a match which has already been taped yesterday following Dynamite.

The rumor that Cargill is leaving AEW was also confirmed by the Wrestling Observer, with Bryan Alvarez saying that “everyone has the idea that she’s gone.”

The 31-year-old made her AEW debut in 2021 after an angle with Shaquille O’Neal that also involved Cody Rhodes. She won the TBS title last year and held on to it for 508 days and was undefeated until Kris Statlander beat her at Double or Nothing for the title.

If she indeed goes to WWE, she would become only the second AEW star to cross over to the competition following Cody Rhodes.
