ROH Women’s champion Deonna Purrazzo is set to make her AEW debut next week on Dynamite as she battles the interim ROH Women’s champion Mercedes Martinez in a title unification match.
Purrazzo was wanted for the April 1 ROH Supercard of Honor but she was already booked on the same night for Impact Wrestling. A compromise was reached between Tony Khan and Scott D’Amore of Impact Wrestling which saw an interim champion crowned on the ROH pay-per-view with the idea of unifying the titles at a later date.
Purrazzo has been champion since the January 9 episode of Impact where she defeated Rok-C for the title. Rok-C went on to sign for WWE and Purrazzo held the ROH and AAA Reina de Reinas titles. She lost the AAA title to Taya Valkyrie at the Impact Rebellion show last week.
The 27-year-old Purrazzo is under a deal with Impact Wrestling.
