Sammy Guevara suspended by AEW again

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting through his Select service that Sammy Guevara has been suspended by All Elite Wrestling following his match against Jeff Hardy last month.

The no DQ match, which aired on the February 14 episode of Rampage, saw Guevara knock out Jeff Hardy with a shooting star press after his knee crushed Jeff’s face, leaving him with a broken nose and seeing stars.

Despite Hardy being visibly hurt, the match continued as the referee did not interfere and Guevara then went ahead and hit his Go to Hell finisher on an injured Hardy, something that Sapp said was not proper concussion protocol procedure.

While Guevara got heat for going ahead and hitting his finisher despite the obvious, the referee and the ringside medic also have to share some of the blame as they did not act accordingly and didn’t bother to stop the match.

This is the third time that Guevara has been suspended by AEW.
