Samoa Joe returns to AEW after six months out

Former AEW World champion Samoa Joe returned to television last night, coming out to save Hook and Katsuyori Shibata from an attack by The Patriarchy.

Joe has not been seen on AEW television since July of last year and was out due to commitments with filming Twisted Metal, a series which airs on Peacock. He plays the role of Sweet Tooth in the series.

He was one of the couple of main event names missing from the company either due to injury or due to other outside projects but AEW is slowly getting all their top stars back.

Joe’s last match was against Chris Jericho, losing a Stampede street fight.
