Serena Deeb pulls out of indie wrestling event as a precaution due to coronavirus

AEW’s newest acquisition, Serena Deeb, has removed herself from an upcoming independent wrestling event for United Wrestling Network after she confirmed she came in contact with somebody who tested positive for coronavirus.

Deeb, who signed with AEW this week, was going to be wrestling Allysin Kay on Tuesday but as a precaution pulled out from the Primetime Live event. She did not say she has coronavirus.

“Earlier this week, I came into contact with an individual who later tested positive for COVID-19. I am taking extra precaution and will be self quarantining for 10 days,” Deeb wrote. “Due to this, I unfortunately have to postpone the match at Primetime Live next week with Allysin Kay. I offer my utmost apologies for this. This is a serious matter, and the health and safety of everyone involved always comes first.”
