The post-NCAA March Madness Collision episodes this past weekend drew the best numbers for the show in a year, but numbers published by Wrestlenomics show that the episodes lost thousands of viewers along the way, making even the final average number a bit misleading.
The Saturday Slam Dunk Collision kicked off the night with 1,024,000 viewers thanks to the lead-in from NCAA but that was quickly almost halved to 647,000 in the second quarter after just seven minutes. The third quarter drew 437,000 viewers and the final quarter had 384,000 viewers. The final 9 minutes of the show from Midnight to 12:09AM dropped to 349,000 viewers, with the show losing a total of 675,000 viewers along the way within an hour.
The Sunday broadcast started higher with 1,074,000 viewers but by the time the first match started after a minute, the viewers dropped to 893,000. Viewers dropped to 594,000 for the next 15 minutes and again to 446,000 viewers for the following quarter. The final 15 minutes of the show between Midnight and 12:15AM dropped to 324,000 viewers, so in total Collision saw 750,000 viewers tuning out from the start of the broadcast to the end.
