The AEW Women’s Title Eliminator tournament got closer to conclusion last night after the Bleacher Report broadcast which revealed the first overall finalist and the first finalist from the United States bracket.
Ryo Mizunami defeated Yuka Sakazaki in the final match of the Japan bracket and will now move to this Wednesday’s broadcast to face the winner of the U.S. final. The 32-year-old has already wrestled for AEW in 2019 when she was part of their first pay-per-view Double or Nothing, teaming up with Hikaru Shida and Riho to take on the team of Yuka Sakazaki, Aja Kong and Emi Sakura.
In the second U.S. semi final, Thunder Rosa defeated Riho to advance to tonight’s U.S. final against Nyla Rose. The match will be streamed on YouTube starting at 7PM ET.
The winner of tonight’s match will then meet Mizunami on Wednesday on Dynamite and the winner of that match takes on Hikaru Shida this Sunday at Revolution for the AEW Women’s title.
