Tony Khan says he was surprised by Jade Cargill leaving AEW

During the media scrum following WrestleDream, AEW President Tony Khan was once again asked about Jade Cargill who on Monday was unveiled as the newest WWE Superstar.

Khan admitted that he was surprised by the move and did not see it coming as he made Cargill a fair offer. He said that Jade asked for more money and he raised the offer more than she requested and still turned it down.

Khan said that he worked to give Cargill the best sendoff AEW could give her and noted that she is always welcome back if she decides to return. He also mentioned that he only has good stuff to say about her and there was no ill feelings towards her.

Cargill recently made an interview where she said Khan was the best boss and she didn’t want to be anywhere else but in AEW.
