Warner Bros. Discovery looking to make more content with AEW

In what bodes well for the future of AEW on Warner Bros. Discovery properties, the network’s Group Chair and Chief Content Officer Kathleen Finch said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that they are happy with the numbers that AEW is doing and they are looking at creating more content with the promotion in the future.

“One of the things that we’re doing around sports is creating shoulder programming to hold onto those fans. AEW pulls huge numbers, so we are working with the wrestling team to figure out what new kind of content can we build that’s not in a wrestling ring,” Finch said.

Finch was defending the company’s position when it comes to the scripted business, saying they’re creating more content than anybody else but they want to make sure they’re putting the content in the right place and making the right projects moving forward.
