Will Ospreay becomes number one contender for AEW World title

The new AEW International champion Will Ospreay won the Casino Gauntlet match last night on Dynamite to become the number one contender for the AEW World title.

Ospreay now gets his chance to go for the top AEW gold at the AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view later next month.

The other participants included Jay White, Pac, Mistico, Shota Umino, Claudio Castagnoli, Lio Rush, Orange Cassidy, and Hechicero. Ospreay beat Cassidy to win the match.

The British star will now face Swerve Strickland on the June 30 pay-per-view from the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.
