Royal Rumble

Royal Rumble is among the bettors’ favourites, with it making its debut back in 1988, and it is one of the most popular WWE betting events. This WWE event consists of wrestlers going into the ring one by one after a set time. The last one standing is the champion, but the drama and the entertainment in the previous professional wrestling matches make it ideal for placing bets.

A wrestler is eliminated from the Royal Rumble when tossed over and out of the rope and when their feet touch the floor. Countless operators allow betting on Royal Rumble matches. The person with the most wins at Royal Rumble wrestling matches is Steve Austin with 3, Randy Orton, John Cena, Triple H, Batista, Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan just behind him with 2. So, bettors have a general idea of who to bet on at this WWE event.

NXT

NXT first aired in 2010. For the first two years, it was a reality TV show in which amateurs competed with the hope to make the next step and become a star in main tournaments.

NXT re-branded itself in 2012 as a developmental territory. Nowadays, NXT is a third WWE brand that has its own storylines and airs on USA Network.

Monday Night Raw

Monday Night Raw is a flagship show of WWE, and it airs on Mondays on US networks and is commonly referred to as Raw. The first edition of it came in 1993, and nowadays, it broadcasts live from 208 arenas, 171 cities, and 11 countries.

As mentioned above, Raw and SmackDown were one show, but since 2006 they split due to the popularity and the ever-increasing number of participants in them. Nowadays, the wrestlers of Raw and SmackDown will rarely get together, and it happens just four times a year in big, pay-per-view shows; WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, as well as Royal Rumble.

Although there are similarities between Raw and SmackDown, there are differences: the ropes in SmackDown are blue and red in Raw, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins participate on Smackdown, and Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley wrestle on Raw, Raw runs for three hours, SmackDown for two.

WrestleMania

WrestleMania is probably the most popular pay-per-view WWE event and the longest-running one, having made its debut back in 1985. In 2021 the 37th edition of WrestleMania was hosted. The most successful wrestler in WrestleMania history is The Undertaker, as he won 24 times since his debut, with his last win coming at WrestleMania 34, when he managed to beat John Cena.

Measured by viewers, it is by far the biggest show of the year, and it breaks indoor attendance records every year and the live viewers watching it on the WWE Network.

There is a week full of events leading up to the main show, and it features both as a finale of the season’s WWE and a springboard for the next one.

SummerSlam

This is another of the major WWE wrestling events, and it is also called “The Biggest Party of the Summer”. The first SummerSlam took place in New York in 1988.

The last one of these events was held in Las Vegas, and Roman Reigns beat John Cena to retain the Universal Championship.

SmackDown

SmackDown is a professional television program produced by WWE, and it airs every Friday on Fox. The program is available to be watched with Spanish-language commentary, and this is considered one of the flagship shows of the whole WWE. SmackDown debuted in 1999, and ever since, it has grown, and at the moment, it is broadcasted from 163 arenas, 148 cities, and seven countries. Before 2006, this show aired together with Raw, but given the number of participants that kept increasing, now they are two separate divisions. The storylines sometimes intervene, but they are not the same at all. Some wrestlers, like Brock Lesnar, have participated at both brands.

Survivor Series

This is an annual wrestling event by WWE, and it is a pay-per-view one, organized every November. It is the second longest-running one in WWE history and is part of the so-called “Big Four” pay-per-views.

The first Survivor Series aired in 1987, and shortly after that, the PPV possibility was realized by WWE. Survivor Series is characterized as having so-called tag team elimination matches, which can see up to five wrestlers battling against each other. Every one of these is known as a “Survivor Series” match.
