Wrestling is more than show or sports. It’s a lifestyle and it has the biggest fan community across the globe. But sometimes it happens that people who were in love with wrestling stars get frustrated with their idols. Here is the list of 4 most shoking arrests in the world wrestling.
- Disco Inferno:
This is the least expected one as I certainly do not expect Disco Inferno to be on the list. Anyone watching the popular show Glenn Gilberti is already aware of the guy and the popularity he holds. However, he was arrested in April 2017 along with other 26 people at Dan Tyre’s residence in Atlanta.
The two had set up a casino in the basement while holding regular high-stakes, which needed a minimum buy-in of $10,000. We got in touch with gambling experts from Casinomech and they conformed that this is high even for the world’s biggest casino houses. The authorities had been busy taking the home for six months before making the final entry. Both the stalwarts were arrested with charges levied of felony gambling and drug possession.
During the raid, drugs such as ecstasy and cocaine were retrieved. Disco was, however, freed after a bond of $10,000.
- Sunny:
One of the original Divas, she was regarded as one of the hottest women of WWF. A successful manager for ‘The Bodydonnas’ is also referred to as the most downloaded woman in 1996. However, with immense popularity comes the brunt of caution. This popularity led her to explore demons in the drug department.
A visit to the mother’s house was a life-altering moment for her when she displayed erratic behavior. This further propagated her mother to file a restraining order. Sytch violated the order on February 5, 1999, and this was when police arrested her. She was held in jail for two long days. After that, the drug problems got severe, which dragged Tammy and her boyfriend into it.
- William Regal:
Darren Matthews, also known as William Regal, is an old acquaintance in the realm of drugs. He had even enlisted his life incidents of substance abuse that were hazardous to his career. Matthews was on a flight on his way back to the USA. This was when he got highly intoxicated, and while urinating, he had left the door open.
This happened when he was instructed to close the door, and he urinated on the stewardess. He soon blacked out, and he woke up to find him in a jail cell in Anchorage, Alaska. He was charged with a fine of $2500 and for urinating on a stewardess on a flight.
However, he has been able to defy the odds and win against the demons to being a commentator on WWE’s NXT.
- Jerry Lawyer:
Every known him for his color commentary and comical one-liners. But before he became popular, the man was a legend, and between 1974 to 1987, he held AWA Southern Heavyweight Championship around 52 times.
He bagged around 166 titles in his career. While he managed to impress everyone around, he managed to do so on one little girl. In 1993, he pressed charges for raping a 15-year-old girl and sodomizing her. He was arrested for the charges pressed.
Fortunately, he was declared innocent later and was released on the grounds of the girl later accepting that it was a lie. However, things were still nasty for him when he kept receiving taunts. He was again arrested on March 16, 1999, when he tore a ticket apart in the officer’s face while running over the foot with a car. He was indicted later on reckless endangerment charges.
