Bret Hart receives star on Canada’s Walk of Fame

Bret “Hit Man” Hart has added another accolade to his hall of fame career after he received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame yesterday.

The former WWE champion is the 38th who got his star in the Sports & Athletics Pillar of Achievement category.

Hart said that it was special for him to be a wrestling and TV hero for many Canadians during his wrestling career. He said it was a great journey and ride and he as really proud of everything he accomplished and most of all, was proud to be Canadian.

“It’s a big honor. It really means a lot to me. It’s one thing to be appreciated as a wrestler, it’s another thing to be appreciated as a Canadian,” Hart said.

Bret hopes now that him receiving a star will open up the door for other stars like Edge and Trish Stratus to also get the honor one day.

“It doesn’t just start or end with Bret Hart,” he noted.
