Bret Hart reveals he has prostate cancer and will undergo surgery

In a post on Instagram, WWE Hall of Famer Bret “Hit Man” Hart revealed that revealed that he has prostate cancer and will be undergoing surgery in the next few days.

Calling it his toughest battle out of many hard battles, Bret hopes that with surgery he will be “defeating this nemesis once and for all.” Throughout his career, Bret suffered a career-ending concussion, two knee replacements, two hernia operations, surgery on his right elbow, four-corner fusion on his right wrist and numerous surgeries that come with being a wrestler.

“I beat the odds when I suffered my stroke in 2002, but it is now yet again, that I…stand unafraid and face the tough road ahead of me, I will march toward this destiny with his spirit chanting in my ear,” Bret wrote. He vowed to wage a “fearsome fight” against the disease with a shield in one hand and a sword carrying his “determination of my fury of life” in his other.
