Chelsea Green shows up at Ring of Honor pay-per-view

Former WWE Superstar Chelsea Green, who was released from the company in April, showed up at Ring of Honor during their Best in the World pay-per-view yesterday live from Baltimore, Maryland.

Green’s 90-day no-compete clause was set to expire on July 14 but it looks like she got out of it a few days earlier, enabling her to appear yesterday. She will now be participating in the ROH Women’s title tournament starting on the July 31 episode of ROH.

The former NXT star is also heavily rumored for this week’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. Deonna Purrazzo will be defending her Knockouts title against a mystery opponent, so that is adding more fuel to the fire that the mystery opponent is Green. Green was used in the commercial for the pay-per-view using older footage from when she used the Laurel Van Ness gimmick.

Green admitted last month that she did seek WWE’s help to rehab her arm – an injury she suffered in a WWE ring – and was visiting the WWE Performance Center regularly for physiotherapy because she could not afford it due to the high cost of the U.S. healthcare system.
