Dana Warrior describes Dark Side of the Ring episode as “smut and filth”

Both A&E and Vice have competing Ultimate Warrior documentaries, one of which was sanctioned by WWE while the other one was not.

The A&E Network Warrior doc was part of the Biography series which is currently airing as part of a three-hour WWE block along with WWE Most Wanted Treasures and aired yesterday.

Over at Vice, the Warrior episode is the fourth of season three of Dark Side of the Ring, a production which has no input from WWE and no under-contract WWE Superstars appear on it, and airs later this week on May 27.

On Instagram, Warrior’s wife Dana was asked if she was aware of the Dark Side of the Ring project. “I had no part in this project,” Dana replied. “Smut and filth does not rise to my note.”

Warrior’s ex-wife Shari Tyree was involved in the Vice production of the Warrior documentary, and those docs often focus more on the darker side, hence the name.

After severing his relationship with WWE, Warrior came back and formed a close relationship with Vince McMahon and after he passed away, WWE went to great lengths to take care of Dana and her two daughters.
