Dwayne Johnson decides not to undergo surgery for injury

Dwayne Johnson, on suggestions by his doctors, has chosen not to undergo surgery to reattach tendons to his pelvis according to a tweet from the former WWE champion.

“They’ll just scar up,” Johnson wrote, noting that he is continuing his prep to shoot his next big movie, Hercules.

Putting Johnson under the knife would have delayed production for the Hercules: The Thracian Wars movie which is due out in 2014.

The movie is directed by Brett Ratner and also has Aksel Hennie as Tydeus, Rufus Sewell as Autolycus and Ian McShane as Amphiarus in the other big roles.

Johnson suffered different injuries with 15 minutes to go in his match against John Cena at WrestleMania 29. He tore his abdomen and abductor muscles off the bone as well as suffering a hernia injury.
