Dwayne Johnson’s Ballers moves out of Florida and relocates to California

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is taking his Ballers from Florida and he’s moving out!

Earlier this year there were concerns from the city of Miami that production for season 3 of HBO’s Ballers might move away due to lack of credits from the state. Variety reports that the state of California is giving production $8.3 million in tax credit to start filming there.

The 10 episodes of season 3 of Ballers will employ 135 cast, 209 base crew and nearly 6,000 extras. Production is expected to generate $33.5 million to the state.

“I’m excited to bring our @BallersHBO to California. It’s smart $business for us, but also generates thousands of jobs for people,” Johnson wrote on his Twitter today.
