Dwayne Johnson’s Ballers television show starts big on HBO

The new television show Ballers from Dwayne Johnson made its debut on HBO to 2.16 million viewers, making it the most-watched comedy episode since the series finale of “Entourage” in 2011 for the network according to Variety. The show also generated more social media buzz than any other half hour show in the history of HBO.

The Rock is enjoying a good Hollywood run even in theaters as San Andreas – currently sitting in 4th in the box office chart after four weeks – smashed the $400 million barrier worldwide this weekend. The movie has so far done $132 million domestically and $282 million in foreign box office according to Box Office Mojo.
