Dwayne Johnson’s San Andreas strikes big in China

Dwayne Johnson’s San Andreas was a massive hit in China as the movie made its debut as number one in the box office in the country with a $35 million weekend and $51.8 million over six days.

The China tally puts San Andreas foreign box office to over $188 million and with domestic box office receipts added to the sum, the movie has now grossed $289.6 million worldwide after 11 days.

The movie has also surpassed the $100 million mark domestically, The Rock’s second movie to do that where he is not part of an ensemble cast.
