Erick Rowan pays tribute to his former tag team partner Brodie Lee

Erick Rowan, the man who spent the majority of his WWE career tag teaming with Luke Harper, broke his silence with a post on Instagram, writing that he is heartbroken and numb and just when he thinks his eyes have dried, he starts to cry again when he thinks of his former tag team partner.

“I have lost not only a friend but a brother! I struggled last night with many emotions and memories. Jon meant more to me than he will ever know,” he wrote. “I remember clearly all the loops we had during our years on the road together. He would always look forward to getting home to his family.”

Rowan added that after every tour he would tell him “Goodbye Forever” because he wanted his one or two days with his family to feel like forever. “One thing he taught me through his own actions was to be a better father and husband. He was one of a kind in everything he did, great performer, great father, great husband, great friend, and all around amazing human.”

He continued, “Jon this is not, Goodbye forever, but goodbye for now! I will see you on the other side my brother. I LOVE YOU!”

Rowan and Lee, then known as Luke Harper, were part of The Wyatt Family and later as The Bludgeon Brothers.
