Gangrel says Edge’s SummerSlam entrance cost him AEW Dynamite appearance

In this week’s episode of Fangin N Bangin with Gangrel, the former WWE Superstar revealed that he was supposed to be on Dynamite last night but Edge’s entrance at SummerSlam screwed things up!

Gangrel explained how on Tuesday he was supposed to fly to Milwaukee to do something with AEW and they had the fire, music, pyro, and everything else ready for his usual entrance.

However when last Friday he saw Edge bringing back the Brood into the equation, it was bittersweet for him as he knew the timing was not great and there was a possibility that his Dynamite appearance would be nixed.

“SummerSlam was the final nail in the coffin,” Gangrel said, and while everyone around him was excited, he wasn’t because he was keeping the AEW appearance secret.

“Everything Edge did was f*cking awesome,” Gangrel added, nothing that he often wondered how a Brood entrance in 2021 would look like and he thought “it looked flipping’ awesome.”

Unfortunately for him, on Monday he received a phone call from AEW telling him that they were going to go a different direction because of what took place at SummerSlam.

Gangrel then proceeded to call Edge with Edge telling him that it was an honor to pay tribute to him on the show with the entrance, “He goes, ‘I hope this helps you get more money and some bookings, you can move some merch…’ and I go… I let him go on he was so happy I didn’t know what to say.”

Then Gangrel broke the news to the Rated-R Superstar. “Yeah, that kinda cost me some…” Gangrel told Edge. “Then he went quiet…it felt like an eternity.” Edge apologized to Gangrel because he didn’t know his cool entrance was going to cost him an appearance on AEW.

“He felt so bad,” Gangrel said.
