General Adnan passes away at age 84.

Adnan Al-Kaissie, better known to wrestling fans as General Adnan, passed away yesterday at the age of 84. No cause of death was released.

“WWE is saddened to learn that Adnan Al-Kaissie, known to sports-entertainment fans as Billy White Wolf, Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissy and General Adnan, passed away on Sept. 6 at 84. WWE extends its condolences to Adnan Al-Kaissie’s family, friends and fans,” WWE wrote on X.

The Iraqi-born star moved to the U.S. in the 50s first to play football and then transitioned to professional wrestling in 1959.

He was a childhood friend of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and Adnan even wrestled Andre The Giant in Baghdad in 1971 after he was instructed to bring a show there by Hussein.

Al-Kaissie wrestled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the WWWF, and the AWA, before rejoining the WWF in 1990 to align himself with Sgt. Slaughter and Colonel Mustafa as General Adnan. The trio were known as the Triangle of Terror.

He is a former WWWF Tag Team champion with Chief Jay Strongbow.
