WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross will be calling his first wrestling matches since January 2013 tonight as he teams up with Matt Striker to handle the English language broadcast of NJPW’s WrestleKingdom 9 pay-per-view in Tokyo, Japan.
Produced by Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling, Wrestle Kingdom 9 will be airing on pay-per-view in the United States for the first time ever and around the world on the Flipps mobile app.
Ross and the crew traveled to Japan after the New Year to prepare for the event which is expected to feature over 50,000 fans inside the Tokyo Dome.
JR last called a wrestling match on the 20th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw, doing commentary for the John Cena vs Dolph Ziggler cage match.
