WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross held an afternoon show yesterday at the House of Blues in Chicago as part of his “Ringside: An Evening with Jim Ross” tour.
Just like in every city he tours, JR had some tricks in his bag which ended up being special appearances by Tommy Dreamer and Lisa Marie Varon, better known to wrestling fans as Victoria or Tara.
This was JR’s first show in Chicago, a city he considers the home of one his greatest wrestling achievements – being announced for the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2007 at the RAW episode at the Allstate Arena.
“The ovation I got that night was breathtaking. They cheered me like I was a Chicagoan. I had tears running down my face,” Ross said in an interview with the Chicago Tribune.
After the show, Ross visited Varon’s restaurant called The Squared Circle for dinner.
