Mercedes Mone in three-way match for her first IWGP Women’s title defense

Mercedes Mone will face not one, but two opponents for her first title defense.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that their IWGP Women’s champion will be defending her gold against AZM and Hazuki in a three-way match at the upcoming Sakura Genesis event on Saturday, April 8.

Whoever walks out with the title, they will then face Mayu Iwatani at STARDOM’s Yokohama Arena event on Sunday, April 23.

Mone has one match under her belt in New Japan Pro-Wrestling so far, winning the title from KAIRI at the Battle in the Valley last month.

Sakura Genesis will air live on the NJPW World streaming service from the Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
