PWInsider.com is reporting in an exclusive story that Vince McMahon is setting up a new company which would “back, develop and produce film and television productions.”
The website adds that two former WWE executives, Brad Blum and Kristen Prouty, are also closely working with McMahon in hopes of launching the company once all the legal hurdles have been cleared. Blum is WWE’s former Chief Operating Officer and one of McMahon’s lieutenants in WWE while Prouty is WWE’s former Senior Vice President of Entertainment Relations.
PWInsider also adds that if and when the company launches, it would be based from Los Angeles, which makes sense since most major movie production studios are based there.
McMahon, currently facing a couple of lawsuits from his time as WWE Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has been largely quiet ever since he was driven out of TKO and WWE earlier this year. He has remained out of the spotlight, with his attorneys answering questions when required.
The 78-year-old was also the subject of the Netflix docuseries Mr. McMahon, and he offered his thoughts on the project a few days before it was released.
Vince is also the subject of a federal investigation which kicked off after Janel Grant filed her lawsuit for sexual trafficking against himself, John Laurinaitis, and WWE.
