The Tennessean newspaper is reporting that Rey Mysterio has joined the Aro Lucha company both as a performer and a co-owner and will be part of the tapings of the first season.
The Nashville-based Aro Lucha is run by Jason Brown and the Harris Brothers who were in charge of the production-side of TNA Wrestling under the company Aroluxe years ago.
Brown, who serves as the CEO as well, said that the company will be launching a crowdfunding program where they will give fans minority stake in the company depending on how much money they pump in.
“I think what we are doing with Aro Lucha being fan-owned is revolutionary,” Mysterio said. “We are giving the fans something they have never had before, a voice and a chance to get in on the action.”
According to federal laws, Aro Lucha can raise up to $1 million by selling a minority stake to non-creditors, in this case, fans.
