Steve Austin discusses Dana White’s “fake” comment about wrestling

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin had his say on the Dana White controversy on Twitter when he called wrestling fake, sparking a controversy among wrestling personalities and fans.

In his latest podcast which featured Daniel Cormier, a big WWE fan who is also the UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Austin sort of defended Dana White saying that maybe he was trying to say that wrestling is a work. He said he doesn’t think White meant any disrespect towards the wrestling industry.

Turning to Cormier, Austin said he would take him and anyone on the UFC roster for a whole year on the road with WWE and they would never say that this business is fake but instead they would say that it’s tough.

“Fake, Dana? Not so much, a work? Yes,” Austin said, adding that he has no problems with Dana White and he loves the UFC. “But I think he does respect the business and hell, one of his biggest draws came from the world of pro wrestling,” Austin added, referring to Brock Lesnar.
