Lars Sullivan told Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that he is probably “done” with professional wrestling and told WWE that he does not want to perform after he suffered several bouts with anxiety during TV tapings.
Sullivan noted that his anxiety got the best of him and struggled to eat or sleep when he had to be there for television shows. He called himself his own worst enemy and screwed up multiple times when WWE gave him a platform. Dave Meltzer of the Observer added that Sullivan even no-showed TV tapings due to his anxiety.
Despite being released, Lars had nothing but good things to say about WWE and appreciated that they didn’t flaunt his release, saying that they showed compassion and honesty in how they handled his departure. He added that he was grateful for the experience given to him by the company and rued “his own selfish behavior” for the way things eventually went down.
The 32-year-old joined WWE in 2014 and wrestled in NXT before making his main roster debut in April 2019.
